This vintage Lassen Volcanic National Park poster is our recreation of one of the original designs from the 1930s. The WPA national park posters have become somewhat of an icon of the National Park Service. During the years after the Wall Street crash of 1929, the Works Progress Administration employed many Americans affected by the great depression to improve access to the national parks. They also wanted to increase visitation for the newly accessible parks, and the national park travel posters were born!
