Preserve Wildlife Poster - Vintage WPA Design

In response to the challenges following the 1929 Wall Street Crash and the ensuing Great Depression, Franklin D. Roosevelt's government initiated programs to support the countless Americans who had become unemployed. Among these initiatives was The Works Progress Administration, and its subdivision - the Federal Arts Project, which focused on creating art that promoted social awareness, conveyed powerful messages and promoted visitation to national parks and monuments. 

One poster born from this project is the iconic "Preserve Wildlife" WPA poster. National Parks Partnership has meticulously restored the black and white and color scans of the original poster, crafting a version that is as close to the colors and appearance of the initial artwork as possible.
