Ansel Adams is perhaps the most well-known national park photographer of all time. His work is still highly sought-after today and his images continue to set record prices at auctions. In 1968, some of his finest national park images were featured on a series of posters created by the Department of the Interior and National Park Service.

Yellowstone National Park, spanning Wyoming, Montana, and Idaho, is a captivating expanse of geysers, hot springs, and wildlife. From the mesmerizing eruption of Old Faithful to the vibrant Grand Prismatic Spring, Yellowstone's natural wonders continue to astound and inspire visitors from around the world.

One fascinating aspect of these posters is the logo. The triangles and 3 dots served as the official logo of the National Park Service for 3 years in the 60s, although the design was not well received and the NPS reverted to the arrowhead in 1969. That makes these posters a time capsule and an important part of the National Park's history.

As this poster hasn’t been in print for over 55 years, we had to go back to the drawing board and recreate them from scratch. We even created several that were not part of the original run using some of Ansel Adam’s public domain photographs of the national parks.
